| Rich Seiling Teaches at California State University Summer Arts Program in July 2005 Rich Seiling entered photography at the historic intersections of a mature analog process, and an immature but evolving digital process. He has pursued both with great vigor. His experiences of working in traditional processes like 4x5 Zone System printing, coupled with working in Photoshop since version 2.0, has created a unique synergies and crossovers that bring the best of the classic traditions of photography to the digital age. Join Seiling this summer to learn the digital printing techniques he uses to make his own prints, and every print made at West Coast Imaging. The class will cover:
The goal is to work more intuitively with Photoshop to create your own vision through more expressive prints. Mr. Seiling will review student work and discuss the importance of learning to edit your own work in order to communicate a story more effectively. By the end of the course, you will produce professional quality prints for our gallery exhibition on the last day, and to take home. Seiling's course is the second half of a two-week Photoshop workshop. The two-week class accounts for three units of undergraduate or graduate credit in the California State University system. This workshop is being coordinated entirely by the CSU Summer Arts Program, and takes place at the CSU Fresno campus.
